Koala Snack

Afternoon feeding time – nothing tastier than fresh gum leaves. Wild female koala in a pocket of suburban bushland. This photo doesn’t show it, but she is very sick with a cystitis infection. Unfortunately she stayed over 40 feet high in the trees for a week and the rescue team couldn’t reach her. Then there were no more sightings of her. These infections can be easily treated with antibiotics and some hospitalisation before re-release to their original location.
